Prohibited items

1. 1Balls with an active crack, separated core, or heat/fire damage.This is a safety rule, not a cosmetic one. A ball with an active crack can fail in use. A repaired crack that the seller discloses is allowed — see the condition guide for the difference between a crack and a fissure, which USBC treats very differently.
2. 2Counterfeit, re-badged, or relabeled balls.
3. 3Balls the seller does not physically possess (drop-ship, pre-order, "arriving soon").Every ReRack listing is a ball in the seller's hands, today. This is also why the listing wizard asks the seller to attest to it.
4. 4Any non-bowling item, except approved accessories (bags, shoes, tape, cleaners) once accessories launch.Accessories haven't launched yet — balls only for now.
5. 5Listings that route the transaction off-platform (phone numbers, external URLs, "cash only," "Venmo me").An off-platform deal has no payment protection, no dispute rights, and no insured shipping. We can't help you with one, which is the honest reason this rule exists rather than a commercial one.
6. 6Stolen goods; any listing matching a submitted theft report.Balls get stolen from cars and centers, and it is a real problem in this sport. A theft report with a serial number or a distinctive photo freezes matching listings while we look. ReRack does not adjudicate ownership — we refer both parties to law enforcement.
7. 7Balls modified in a way that cannot be disclosed accurately (unknown fill material, unknown plug work on a resale).If you don't know what was done to it, you can't describe it, and the buyer can't make a decision. “Plugged, count unknown” is a fine answer; “something was filled with something” is not.

Most of the list above is really one idea: a buyer has to be able to know what they're getting. A plugged ball, a resurfaced ball, a ball with an old balance hole, a ball with a repaired crack — all listable, all with a declaration attached.

Undisclosed damage found after delivery is a seller-fault problem under Buyer Protection, which is a worse outcome for the seller than the disclosure would have been.
